Plants give off oxygen for us. Too much oxygen around a plant poisons the plant. They sense that and slow O2 production. This happens to plants inside the home and it doesn't help us at all. We need to filter off the plant-killing oxygen away from the plants toward us, begin producing maximum amounts of oxygen for us. Commercial oxygen separators will do that, pulling off enough oxygen from the plants to create a positive CO2 condition around the plants. Plants that are given plenty of Carbon Dioxide begin producing an abundance of oxygen. Greenhouse experts and commercial growers have used this technique for decades. Think of it this way. It's like milking cows. A farmer sets up optimal conditions for his herd, gives them what they need for health, and abundant milk results. We can do that with plants in a small greenhouse or greenroom, milking oxygen for our home and our health. The out-of-control part then is a greenhouse fitted into a south-facing window. Like a bird feeder, just larger. We purposely set up a system that lets the plants go out-of-control.
