Easter Spring of Life Renewal Refreshment, seeing the pretty women in beautiful summer attire. Bright colors, a celebration of both colors and smiles and FAITH IN THE PROMISES OF GOD. I grew up in that life and that atmosphere. Millions of people gathering across America today -and the world too- to give thanks to the God of the Bible. Some of them are learning to use God's Name found about 7,000 times in the Bible but especially in Psalms 83:18. Other preachers besides Jehovah's Witnesses are using His name > Jehovah.
What is "the true religion" if such exists? It is more than knowing to use God's Name. True religion is -has to be- a rounded basket filled with truth fruit. When we find that fruit it doesn't jump out of the basket into our mouth. We have to reach for it & grab it & embrace it like it is the last basket of fruit in the world, or the last gallon of gasoline.
When I grew up in the Baptist tradition it was a good place. They gave me the basics and then assumed I would somehow grow deeper roots of Faith. "False religion" tends to want your Faith Roots intertwined with Tradition Roots. True religion goes beyond that and is more than traditions. So my growth of Faith came to a halt when I reached 17 years of age as I had absorbed all the Baptist had to offer me... because in order to fill my basket with Faith Fruit that had solid substance I had to dive into the Bible Scriptures, do the breast stroke to exhaustion. Witnesses gave me that exhaustion I needed to finish my job.
However, even tho I left the Baptist tradition that does not mean I left Hope in God they gave me on many an Easter Day, when the beautifully-dressed women -and tall strong handsome men- walked into churches all over the world hoping God would save this world when Man obviously fails, diverting the wealth of nations into making weapons instead of raising their fellowman to a position equal to themselves. Well, God is near and one of His great messages to me has been that we were supposed to have, not only all the food and bodily health Adam & Eve had, we were supposed to have all the Energy of angels. I kept my Faith and the Bible promised me if I did that I would be rewarded greatly. As it seems to have turned out the rewarding has gone to everyone, just as the Bible promised "God makes the rain fall on the bad and the good", even the incarcerated men & women in the nation's prisons, are being showered with God's Plan, whether they accept it or not. Prisoners can become "alive in the spirit". But, haven't we all been prisoners? That is coming to an end very soon. Tabby, meaning to or not your posts helped me a lot.
