There are 4 basic periods in a person's lifetime:
childhood, young adult, HIGHLY PRODUCTIVE, & seniors.

3 of them should not be taxed.
The first and last are periods of relatively low income ...
FOR THE MAJORITY AMERICANS.

Young adults raising families from Age 18 to 28 should not be taxed.

That's a time of heavy financials... and that money should go to their infants.

Many in that bracket finish their schooling for highly-paid careers.

Seniors speaks for itself.

Each of these groups shouldn't pay any income taxes to states or fed.

A person's first home shouldn't even be taxed.

Once the couple's children get past 5-10 years of age, need less care and TIME,
then both those and the students have time & money to buy a starter home.
THAT's WHEN THE TAXING SHOULD START!

Why shouldn't those groups be taxed???

Okay. Fair question.

The children are an investment in this country. Nurturing them adds Societal value.

The young parents or students then are an investment in this country.
They, their children, their careers, have VALUE.

Helping them buy a home, learn careers, save for & purchase a home,
ADDS TO THE TOTAL VALUE of the U.S. of A.

From 28 to 60, 64, or 70 (individual selects) are the INCOME GENERATING years.

Tax people in this period as much as they can bear I suppose.

Presently Americans are beat down.

We buy a home on a 30 year tag then when it's paid off we find that during those 30 years the land the home sits on has escalated in value. So once the mortgage is paid, a person's Property Tax stares them in the face! Buying a home today is tantamount to taking on TWO SUCCESSIVE MORTGAGES.

This plan does away with that situation. When a person pays off their home coinciding with retirement the Property Tax STOPS. ONCE A PERSON WORKS HARD & PAYS FOR A HOME THEY SHOULD BE HOME FREE, NOT HOME TAX.  Where is the incentive otherwise???  Why it has been stolen! And a senior's retirement many times has also been stolen.

In stark contrast, the New Medicare Plan does not change that situation at all.

They took a relatively simple problem and made it into a multilevel Chess Game.

Perhaps it will work. But for every extra THOUSAND LINES in that New Law lies opportunity for mistakes and giant cracks. Our Legislators gave us so many choices but who will benefit? Will the people with Alzheimer's be able to understand all their options?!

Hardly.

The options needed a clean-cut solution, not a rubber stamp mountain.

Life didn't get better. It just got more complicated.

When it did not need to.

WHAT EXACTLY WAS ACCOMPLISHED?  THEY SPUN THE MERRY-GO-ROUND HARDER. hehehehe  AND FOR WHAT?? Sure, young people need pre-taxing if for no other reason than training wheels for when they have to pay FOR REAL, but those monies should go into their own Savings Account they can't draw against til they're 28 years old. That way -mandatory taxing for their next decade of life would make lots of sense too.
