Humans, being physical, easily fall into the trap of thinking their greatest worth is physical. This is not true. But as long as we think it's true, it is a governing truth. That is why the physical has come to dominate our thoughts and predicate our actions. Thomas Jefferson wrote these words which we have all heard:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
The statement is a good one but perhaps we need to amend it, for it conveys the thought that our greatest value and worths are physical. That simply is not true. The Declaration of Independence was not written to exclusively address the physical. So while the words are good, they fall short. Our "Creator" gave us much more than the physical. "He" endowed us with Energy. Until we master Energy, we have not come anywhere close to finding Happiness. Our worth is our energy; when the energy is gone the physical then has the same value it had before: physical is a placeholder. What we do with our energy -to help or to harm, to create or to destroy- is what gives us value.
When we attempt to harness renewable energy sources, we are closer to reaching that ideal & come perilously close to finding God... and that is the "invisible force" that stops us from creating a renewable energy lifestyle, because we fear finding God. We know {think we know} that God is waiting for us with more tablets of Laws, and assume that He is going to insist we follow them.
Essentially then? We are afraid to shorten the distance that now separates us from God. A second essential? So long as we continue to fail we can keep blaming God for our failure... and we therefore retain our "Right" to break all His Laws. It still comes down to a game of dominoes & which way we want the dominoes to fall. Subconsciously and unconsciously, we fail on purpose to avoid this expected coming confrontation with God. Resisting this "call from God to find our energy and find Him" can be done but will it succeed? No, because to deny our own constitution is to deny ourselves life.
We need to acknowledge that each person is created more than equal. Our wealth isn't defined by our person but by the energy we command... energy that has been gifted each of us to a near-limitless quantity. Our continued attempt to place a lesser value (equality) on each life prevents us from achieving World Peace. We have to think "outside the box" we have constructed, and realize the Declaration of Independence was our training wheels. If growing and gaining power means we meet God and encounter more Laws, then that is what we must do. Doing any less leaves us living the life we have now, and that is unacceptable.
Armageddon will not be a giant rock falling from the sky upon us helpless mortals. Armageddon is the death we choose to let happen to us, which may include that rock but caused by our choice to bury our head in the sand. It is the condemnation from God upon cowards who shrink from admitting "His" presence, thinking they can engineer life and happiness apart from Him. The most thing we will find apart from God is a genetically engineered, very long life apart from God; machine life, machine liberty, machine happiness, and ultimately machinated fulfillment.

I will give the answer here because this is the most fitting page I have written, about World Peace. Our World is not at peace, and won't be for a while yet, but each of us can make our own peace. A good step towards peace is to answer this question:
WHICH GOD?? My answer is the Bible's Answer:
Which God? I prefer the God who has given me answers, the God of the Bible. He gave us 2 names to call him by exclusively. Foremost was what is called the Tetragrammaton (JHVH or YHWH). Long ago the priests of Judaism stopped writing down the vowels, pronouncing God's Name only using the consonants.. The full spelling of the Divine Name was lost. Vowels have been inserted rather randomly from one culture to another all around the Earth, but the 2 most accepted spellings are Yahweh and Jehovah. Neither of these spellings claim inspiration but have become commonplace for uniformity's sake and in order we can actually "call on God's Name" as the Bible instructs us to do. This is probably (hopefully) acceptable to God since the spelling was lost. However, what if the spelling isn't lost at all? 12 years ago give or take I was meditating about the subject... and decided God's proper vowels must be somewhere in His Word, the Bible! I found them in the book of Exodus, Chapter 3 vs.14. God gave Moses a new name of "I AM WHO I AM". My eyes opened wide, knowing the " I " personal pronoun is also a vowel. I immediately saw the duality of the two I's, and how they made the Name of JIHVIH. So Beleth, the God I worship is more correctly named JIHVIH because it doesn't just "pull vowels out of the thin air" as others have done. This Spelling may not be the complete Name of God either but at least it satisfies being straight from Scripture. The Name grows on you after a while, perhaps because of its uniqueness. Knowing the Name isn't nearly as important to us right now than believing "God becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking Him" (Heb. 11:6) and also that "the word that goes forth from my mouth will not return without results (Isaiah 55:11). Every prophecy in Scripture will be fulfilled. The light keeps getting brighter toward that day, and knowledge of God becomes more clear. Faith in God has given me many answers.

If we say each person is just created equal, we have "reduced" each person to the level of a dog or cat. A human creation of God is more than just what we see. We have an inheritance promised by the God of the Bible. So, in Math terms, we are 1 body + mind + inheritance as being children of God, totalling much more than just equality of an animal. I'm not familiar with Jefferson as a man. If he was not religious then in his writing we were equal he may have been, in reality, insulting us all... especially if he was bipolar, because bipolar people think like that sometimes. Many smart people excel in tossing hidden, veiled insults. My writing "we are more than equal" was my attempt at reflecting the total human as being more than just an animal. I wasn't trying to be funny, just realistic. It occurred to me that Jefferson had not viewed us from a full perspective, so apparently we are in agreement that Jefferson fell short. Sorry to take so long to see your query. Further to your question, I would offer that Jefferson's statement "all men are created equal" has not had much effect on stopping wars. I think there's a reason for that. You see, if we kill someone who is equal and we don't have much, we may not think we have deprived that person of much. However, if the document was worded "more than equal" then everyone who read it would not think in such limited terms. "More than equal" means if we were to take the life of another we would be taking much more than ourselves, and that extrapolated IMHO means we do not have the right to deprive another of their life. I'm not sure I can explain it any better than that. In the end, I believe my writing was done under inspiration from God through His Holy Spirit. If that is true, no amount of explaining it is going to work. The statement needs a 3rd party helper to fully understand, and feel. I believe God wanted me to write that page to show people there's a greater Reality of Being than what we find outside His Bible. Even tho we are imperfect descendants of Adam & Eve, our eventual destiny will be as equals of angels.
