Never enter the Temple of Doom and never say aloud these words:
Perpetual Motion.
Yep, they'll get you thrown out every Time.
Excuse Me?!
If a car's gas tank never emptied, I think we would have perpetual motion a plenty. A waterwheel sitting in a river or creek of flowing water turns forever til it wears out. Isn't that perpetual motion? Yeah.
What if that waterwheel carried it's own load of water that falls down one side and rides back up closer to the axis of the wheel?
Now You're in the Temple of Doom with me!
How's it feel? Pretty good eh?, solving perpetual motion? hehehehe
It's hard to build a wheel to do that with water wanting to bounce,
but a ball does nicely.
I'll show you how on this page one day soon. Or you can design it yourself with the hints, I practically solved it for you anyway. Many inventors have tried to solve it but so far they've either failed, or someone gave them enough cash to go to Bermuda. They say there is a triangle there.
Pro'bly beats heck out of this Temple.
Basically, the device herein referred to as the Perpetual Wheel has to be off-balance per falling ball, yet out of balance at the same time by having an odd number of out-of-balance balls, constantly falling. That's where the GAIN IS in the device, falling objects or balls obtaining the freeness of gravity, then riding back up in an elliptical path.
If the ball rode back to the top-start along the diameter of the wheel it would by force of leverage counteract a lot of that free Gain, rendering any useable / harnessable power would be very Low.
"They" say it can't be done yet "they" have been harnessing falling water through turbines for DECADES. The water is perpetual because gravity is perpetual, unless you close the floodgates. Well, this here Perpetual Wheel is much the same, just substituting controllable ball-weights for the water!
Out of balance yet odd-number balanced so that once it is pushed it can never catch its tail so it just keeps on turning... Say we made 360 balls into such a falling-riding-up-closer arrangement, the trick is to keep the Positive force of the impacting balls greater than the Negative force of the ones riding back to the start.
I suppose it sounds like I'm talking in circles but all you have to do is draw a circle, ask yourself where the ball needs to be for the beginning drop, where it ends up, and how to allow it to roll back toward the axis to ride back up. I suppose it is simply an advanced game of vertical PINBALL...
Far too many people are making too many negative comments about Perpetual Motion not being possible, when any 2nd Grader knows we live inside a perpetual motion universe... I'll try to have a Flash motion picture on here running sometime within the next month, at least by the end of June 2004 anyway, showing exactly how such a Perpetual Wheel will work.
I don't mean to be pontificating and I know it is offensive to some people, but I'm getting really tired of all these white coats making our lives so hard when Life shouldn't be that. Truth is, this Planet Earth is drowning in water and drowning in Power. Five more years. Life is just a medium, like Space or Time, fluids we can bend it and will soon. Five more years or less...
Whew!
