At 12:18 on July 21, the lower module of the core shaft support truss in the reactor building of Xudapu Nuclear Power Unit 3 was successfully lifted and installed, and the lifting process was safe and quality controlled.

The lower module of the support truss is an important component of the core shaft of THE VVER unit, with a total weight of about 62T. It bears the function of supporting the reactor pressure vessel. After on-site assembly and acceptance, it is lifted into place by the large crane. This is another modular construction innovation after the modular construction of the core shaft with steel lining and the cantilever truss with steel, which has a promotion effect on the construction progress and quality of the core shaft.
