British telecoms giant Vodafone Group (LON:VOD) has committed to sourcing electricity from three solar parks proposed by Greek industrial group Mytilineos SA (FRA:MYH) in the UK.
Vodafone said it would buy about 55 GWh of electricity a year for its UK operations. The solar park will be operational by the end of this year.
Vodafone aims to achieve net zero emissions across its UK operations by 2027. Since last year, the company's domestic and European operations, including mobile and fixed networks, data centers, retail and office networks, run on 100 percent renewable electricity.
