On July 19, the National Energy Administration released statistics on the country's power industry from January to June. By the end of June, China's installed power generation capacity was about 2.44 billion kilowatts, up 8.1 percent year on year. Among them, the installed wind power capacity was about 340 million kW, up 17.2% year on year; Installed solar power capacity was about 340 million kW, up 25.8% year on year.

From January to June, China's power generation equipment was used for 1,777 hours on average, 81 hours less than the same period last year. Of this, 2,057 hours were spent on thermal power, 133 hours less than the same period last year. Nuclear power 3,673 hours, 132 hours less than the same period last year; Wind power 1,154 hours, 58 hours less than the same period last year.

From January to June, China's major power generation enterprises invested 215.8 billion yuan in power supply projects, up 14.0 percent year on year. Of this, 63.1 billion yuan was generated by solar power, up 283.6 percent year on year. Investment in power grid projects reached 190.5 billion yuan, up 9.9% year on year.
